Penn’s Landing is just a couple minutes to/from Old City, Historic Philadelphia, Society Hill, Queen Village and Pennsport, provides year round activities including concerts, film screenings, cultural festivals, visiting naval tours, and spectacular fireworks displays. Penn’s Landing, located on the banks of the Delaware River, overlooks New Jersey’s Camden Waterfront entertainment venues – New Jersey State Aquarium, Wiggins Waterfront Park and Marina including the Children’s Butterfly Garden and Susquehanna Bank Center.
Penn’s Landing’s main public space is the Great Plaza, one of the city’s premier locations for outdoor concerts, festivals, and private rentals providing panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
Festival Pierat Spring Garden Street is home to outdoor concerts during the summer months including the extremely popular Roots Picnic in June.
Riverlink Ferry is a scenic river tour highlighting the waterfront and the City of Philadelphia’s spectacular skyline. The Ferry operates Saturdays and Sundays in May and September and is open 7 days/week between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Blue Cross River Rink is Philadelphia’s only Olympic size outdoor public ice-skating rink with indoor heated tent offering snack bar, game room and seating. Open from November thru March the rink offers a live DJ Friday and Saturday nights!
Independence Seaport Museum is Philadelphia’s maritime museum and reflects the importance of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers to the city over the years. Displays provide a narrative of the city’s contributions to naval and commercial maritime history in addition to exhibits about what makes boats float, the China trade, local small craft, a ship’s hull to rivet, and cargo to unload with miniature cranes.
Several historic ships are docked at Penn's Landing. The barque Moshulu is a floating restaurant; the World War II-era submarine USS Becuna and the Spanish-American War-era cruiser USS Olympia (C-6) are part of the Independence Seaport Museum; and the barquentine Gazela and tugboat Jupiter are docked there by the Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild.

In September 2010, the Sugar House Casino, a 1.3M square foot casino complex on 22-acres opened its doors on the former Jack Frost Sugar Refinery site. The state-of-the-art casino offers 3,000 slot machines and tables and a variety of retail and dining options.
